Family view: the Logris crystal with the “Exploring the world” direction lit. This project has no crystal of its own yet.

Azimuthal Earth turns map projections into something you can explore by hand: measure distances, plan routes, compare areas and switch between geographic layers on one interactive azimuthal map. It is an experimental project with a public prototype.

Focus

  1. Azimuthal projection of the whole Earth with interactive navigation
  2. Distance, route and area tools in a visual form
  3. Additional layers with the source shown next to the data

Good to know

Some live data layers depend on external providers and may be temporarily unavailable.

What this project does not claim

  • Navigation-grade accuracy
  • Real-time data for every layer
  • Scientific proof based on a single map projection
